GHOST HORSE BAR
The Ghost Horse Bar is located at the corner of Main and Ivy Street, which would be considered the heart of Omensvale's downtown area in the part of the city known as Harrow.
Established in 1975, the 'Ghost Horse' quickly became an iconic pub in the area. Originally the 'Green Leaf' hotel, it had closed back in the 1940's and sat idle until a couple of innovative entrepreneurs decided to renovate the old building. The original plans were to re-open it as a hotel, but that quickly fell through, then a year later it was bought by a New York bar owner who turned it into the bar that it is today.
The Ghost Horse made it's name in the 1980's, and became one of the premium venues of Orange County. It's popularity declined after the 1990's but it's still renown for it's wide selection of beers and ales, and a favoured hang out among the locals. Two of the three levels of the building are used. The street level is the main bar, and the second level is a lounge, with more tables and restaurant menu. It has a small stage for single acts . The main level, is the bar. It has a large stage for bands, and a spacious open area for dancing and carousing. It has a classic bar with seats and a standing bar on the opposite side of pub.
The third level of the building is mainly used for storage. Most of the old hotel rooms are still in tact and people have reported paranormal encounters. Difficult to say whether there's any truth to the stories as the owners just might be cashing in on the 'ghost tour' band wagon.
The basement of the establishment is undeveloped and used as a keg room and cold storage.
