Brice Kruger - Omensvale Police Chief
Brice Kruger is a career law-man. He was a Texas Ranger, then an NYPD Detective before settling down in the sleepy city of Omensvale. He's pretty much seen it all, and his eyes show it. No-non-sense and tough-as-nails, Chief Kruger leads by example and now even in his late sixties can still hold his own, and run the obstacle course with officers half his age. Those who know him would almost testify that there's something "unnatural" about the man, and they're not wrong.
Brice Kruger is an ENHANCED individual. After the Gloaming he had become merged with another version of himself from an Earth-version riddled with war. This version of himself was physically enhanced, stronger and faster with a strange side effect. By increasing his healing factor, the scientists made him more sensitive to electricity, producing a condition that weakens his neurological pathways and control over his body. ICOR at the Apex institute has assisted him with medication and are currently studying him. He is prone to seizures caused by drawing in too much electricity and then spontaneously releasing it, causing, what looks like to other, freak electrical shorts. He can utilize his magnetic powers and produce electrical currents but it doesn't help his condition.
After the Gloaming, Brice was able to speak Russian. In his parallel past he was an agent working behind enemy lines and infiltrated Russian bases.
Chief Kruger helps ensure that all 'strange occurrences' are swept under the rug. It's difficult to know whether he's on the side of ICOR or Krius, and that's the way he should be written. He seems to have his own agenda, and it can at times benefit either ICOR or Krius. He can be harsh and he can helpful, but it's clear the only side he's on is his own and his main priority is to keep any proof of the preternatural in the shadows.
As Chief, Kruger's responsibilities are:
• Preparing and updating policy and procedure
• Investigating complaints against police department employees
• Overseeing the emergency management function
• Interacting with the media on department activities
